Jim Moran Building Demolition Begins

Just next door to the Ballard Building, ALW and Culpepper Construction have taken the first step in the creation of the new Jim Moran Building - selective demolition of interiors and facades has begun at 111 S. Monroe Street.

‘Building Tallahassee’ News Series Sheds Light on ALW Work

In January and February, WTXL ABC 27’s ‘Building Tallahassee’ series featured ALW’s Principals Cam Whitlock and Rodney Lewis and several of the firm’s projects in three of their five segments. Reporter Stephen Jiwanmall visited our studio and job sites to interview our team about the progress being made at the 201 E. Park Avenue, TCC Center for Innovation and Midtown Mixed-Use project sites. Excited to share details about our design concepts and the latest construction progress, we were honored to be included in the series.

FSU Dirac-Dittmer Plaza Project Completed

Presenting the new FSU Dirac Dittmer Plaza, freshly updated by AL+W to provide a plaza with comfortable seating and a shaded patio area for Starbucks between the Dirac Science Library and Dittmer Chemistry building. With new landscaping and improved drainage and lighting, the space provides a great area for students, faculty and staff to study and mingle.

FSU Student Union Project Kicks-off!

It’s official! The AL+W/WORKSHOP DESIGN TEAM has just kicked-off the much anticipated FSU STUDENT UNION REPLACEMENT project. This week, we’re kicking off the master planning process by conducting social research, engaging with students, and interviewing faculty and staff.
