A Warm Welcome to Our New Project Manager, Matt Persinger!

We are excited to welcome Matt Persinger to the lively ALW studio! A licensed architect and LEED accredited professional, Matt joins our team as a Project Manager with a Master’s degree from Yale University and over 12 years of high-quality architectural experience in several U.S. regions. After stints in the IL, OR, and MS, Matt, his wife Gini, and their two kids have moved to Tallahassee to be closer to family. As an architect, his resolve that each project should elevate the experience of all who encounter the project and be executed with excellence in design and craft adds another voice to the established values of our firm! Bringing his experience and design thinking to the table, Matt is excited to grow ALW’s capacity for doing great work and for developing strong relationships in the Tallahassee community. Please join us in welcoming Matt to the team!

ALW Scholarship Award Winners Selected for 2022

Congratulations to FAMU architecture students Adrian Perez and Jared Weber for receiving ALW’s 2022 Ian Sommerfeldt Memorial Scholarship Award! “Adrian and Jared’s fourth year studio project was a well-rounded, thoughtfully executed design that fully incorporated innovative solutions related to designing using mass timber. Their graphic illustrations were clear, concise, gracefully composed, and elegantly told the story of their building’s design. Additionally, both the contextual adjacency diagrams and axonometric phasing massing study emphasized their knowledge in strategic planning and added support to their design intent.” – Ryan Sheplak, ALW Creative Director

Showing Support for Second Harvest

As the need for food assistance is more significant than ever, Second Harvest staff and volunteers have helped thousands of families during the pandemic and through the holidays. They’re working around the clock to keep food banks, pantries, and meal programs running throughout the 11-county Big Bend area and are providing food and hope to so many in need. Today our ALW Principals and Marketing Director stopped by to contribute toward their colossal mission and to say thank you to Monique and her team of heroes for serving our neighbors in need.
